WATER MAIN WORK ON OGDEN, WASHINGTON RESUMES
Lane reductions and increased travel times are expected on Ogden Avenue and Washington Street beginning this week as crews replace aging water mains on Ogden between Washington and Wright Street and on Washington between Ogden and Bauer Road.
Work is expected to continue through October 2026, depending on weather and unforeseen circumstances, a city news release said.
Existing cast-iron water main pipe installed in the 1950s and 1960s needs to be replaced. Initial work began in spring 2025 and was temporarily paused in the fall and winter. New upsized 16-inch pipe is being installed and water valves, hydrants and services are being replaced, the release said.
Crews will generally work from 7 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. Monday through Friday and motorists should expect traffic pattern changes as the work progresses, the release said. The work may also cause occasional water service disruptions.
