A man died early Sunday when he ran his vehicle into a brick structure in Mundelein, the Lake County Coroner’s Office said.
The coroner identified the victim as Lukas Beelow, 31, of Mundelein. An autopsy indicated death from blunt force trauma, the coroner’s office said.
Police said they were called around 2:08 a.m. Sunday to the area of Chevy Chase Road and Hawley Street for a report of a loud noise.
Arriving officers found Beelow’s SUV had collided with a brick structure. Beelow was pronounced dead at the scene, authorities said.
Mundelein Police and the Major Crash Assistance Team are investigating the collision.
