For decades, Illinois lawmakers have created a system so inequitable that it now threatens the financial stability of entire communities.

A union-backed pension proposal would saddle Illinois taxpayers with $80 billion-plus in additional pension contributions.

Instead of fighting over a shrinking resource pie, the city must grow that pie by promoting more business and population growth.

For years, poor governance has doomed the Chicago region to an inefficient transit system that fails to adequately serve its riders.

A prime example of unnecessary local government in Illinois is the four Cook County mosquito abatement districts.

Chicago needs to be assured that the mayor's bond proceeds will be used only for appropriate purposes. 

We urge the mayor and the City Council to invest in the Chicago Police Department’s technology systems and facilities necessary for reform.
