Sloe(r) Gin(ier) Fizz
Prep: 5 minutes
Makes: 1 cocktail
From Brandon Phillips, senior executive bar director at The Duck Inn, who calls for Plymouth Sloe Gin and Small Hands Foods Orgeat. If you are concerned about the chance of salmonella in raw eggs, use a pasteurized egg.
1 ounce sloe gin
1/2 ounce London dry gin
1/2 ounce orgeat syrup
3/4 fresh lemon juice
2 heaping bar spoons powdered sugar
1 egg white
Club soda
Add all ingredients except club soda to cocktail shaker. Without ice, give a few firm shakes. Open shaker, fill with ice and proceed to vigorously shake, 10-15 seconds. Strain into a highball glass. Top with soda.
