Johnnie Heingarten and Zach Frenia, both 25, came dressed for a rave. The Knoxville, Tennessee, couple are alums of electronic music meccas, including Electric Daisy Carnival Vegas, Bonnaroo, Okeechobee and Sunset Music Festival. Lolla reminds them the most of EDC Vegas, Frenia said.
"I've seen some ravers today," Frenia said. "They're a lot more casual here, but what I like about raves is it's really do whatever you want to wear." The duo brought their pashmina scarves and kandi — colorful beaded bracelets to trade with other ravers — to five festivals this year before Lolla. Frenia's orange jersey is merchandise for Illenium, who played at SeatGeek stadium in July.
