We may have changed the name of our annual dining awards, but the commitment to honoring the best and brightest of Chicago food has endured for years.

What’s now the Chicago Tribune Food Awards began in 2011 as the Tribune Dining Awards. That year, Girl & the Goat beat out Gilt Bar, Henri and Sable for best new restaurant. In the years that followed, our awards were hopefully a badge of honor for spots that thrive to this day (Monteverde, Floriole) and ones we’ve lost but continue to mourn (Blackbird, Spiaggia).

What stands out is how enduringly great these restaurants, bars, bakeries and breweries remain. So we’re bringing them all together here, mapped out and searchable by neighborhood, cuisine and award year. Take a look and see who has won over the years.
