Village officials are looking for people to sit on the newly created Algonquin Parks and Recreation Committee.

The Village Board recently approved the creation of the committee with four directives: to collect and analyze data related to a parks and recreation program and facility planning; to prepare a parks and recreation master plan; to assist the corporate authorities with decisions regarding future parks and facility construction and program development; and to review plans for proposed improvements.

The committee will consist of seven people. Members will serve a one-year term beginning Dec. 1, 1997.

Interested persons are encouraged to submit a resume or letter of interest to Village President Ted Spella. For information, call Jenna Kollings at 847-658-2700.
