Arthur John Davis, 95 and 11 months passed away peacefully in his sleep at his daughter’s home in Florida on May 13, 2026. He is survived by his 3 children, Vicki Jo, Robert “Bob” Edward, and Arthur John Jr. (Laura), 4 granddaughters, Ashley Davis (d. 2017), Abby Tryon (Brooks), Allison Glasgow (Graham), Alexandra Davis and 5 great grandchildren. Quinn & Camille Tryon, Charlotte, Davis, & Blaire Glasgow.

He is predeceased by Bonnie Mae Wyrick/Davis/Wendorf, (d. 2017) the mother of his children and his 2nd wife Marion (Murph) Sullivan (d. 2006)

Born in Oak Park, Illinois he graduated from Oak Park River Forest High School, Missouri Valley College, married Bonnie, started his own business in 1955, the Davis Tree Company. He coached OPRF Boys Football Club for over 20 years and served in the Army Reserves.

Besides football other passions included flying airplanes, animals, racetracks, singing, dancing and dining out!

He shared his Christian faith with many and was a true gentleman.

Art will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him.
