Lorraine Susan Milam, age 77 of Yorkville, Il entered heaven, on Monday, May 18th 2026. Lori was born in Chicago, Il on March 15th 1949 the daughter of John S. and Shirley A. (Flick) Stachnik.

Lori was united in marriage on April 5th, 1969 to her loving husband Mr. William E. Milam and they have spent the last 57 years happily building a blessed life together. The couple began their life together in San Diego where Lori worked as a registered nurse at the VA and at Sea World. She assisted in piloting the EMS in Kendall County, becoming its first administrator. She enjoyed most her years as a charge nurse in local nursing homes, and working as an RN for the Kendall County Health Department. Lori dedicated her life to the care of others.

Lori was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend who will be deeply missed by all who knew her well.

Lori is survived by her husband, William E. Milam of Yorkville, Il; her children, Kristin Drynan of Yorkville, Il, Steven Milam of Rockford, Il, Valerie (Matthew) Kean of Eureka, Il; her seven grandchildren: Dominic, Garrett, Makenna, Max, George, Sean, and Ryker; her brother John P. Stachnik; her four nephews, David (Mary) Cloninger, Cole (Ashley) Adams, Jason (Susan) Stachnik, Justin Stachnik; and her niece, Laurissa (Richard) Moorhead.

Lori was preceded in death by her beloved parents John S. and Shirley A. Stachnik; her sister and brother-in-law, Shirley (D. Kent) Cloninger; and her sister- in-law Mary Stachnik.

A visitation with family and friends along with funeral services will be held at Nelson Funeral Home on Saturday, May 30th. Visitation with the family will be from 2:00pm-4:00pm and memorial service will begin at 4:00pm. Nelson Funeral Home, 1617 N. Bridge St, Yorkville Il 60560
