Chicago artists Jamila Woods and Chance the Rapper announced Tuesday they are looking for Chicago public high schoolers to direct a music video for one of the duo’s collaborations.

The pair put out a request on social media mid-day Tuesday, “calling all Chicago Public School aspiring filmmakers” to submit music video treatments — pitches in PDF form — for Woods’ 2016 song, “LSD (feat. Chance the Rapper).” Woods, who serves as associate artistic director of Young Chicago Authors, and Chance tweeted that submissions will be accepted until June 2.

The student who submits the winning music video treatment will see it come to life with Woods and Chance in a fully produced project. The high schooler will shadow the directors, Vincent Martell and Sam Bailey, and production crew on set. Promising runner-up pitches may also land students in with different department heads, allowing them to accompany separate teams on set.

This assignment comes as no surprise from the Chicago artists. Woods was a founding member of YCA’s Teaching Artist Corps, a group of budding artists that serve as educators and mentors on top of crafting their artistry, and Chance recently donated a $1 million toward funding arts and literature education within Chicago Public Schools.
