Mass for Paul A. Volpe, 79, a liquor store owner and retired Illinois tollway employee, will be said at 10:30 a.m. Thursday in St. Genevieve Catholic Church, 2600 N. Lamon St. Mr. Volpe, a resident of the Northwest Side, died Monday in Resurrection Hospital. He was founder of, and partner in, Liquor Town Stores and Volpe Liquors. He was American Athletic Union wrestling champ, welterweight division, in 1927. Survivors include his wife, Mildred; 2 sons, John and Vincent; 2 daughters, Joy Pipala and Rosemary Monahan; 14 grandchildren; 3 brothers; and a sister.
