According to a letter published Dec. 12, Oakbrook Shopping Center needs a roof.
Why?
In outdoor Oakbrook, lingering in one`s nostrils are the scents of flowers or pine trees, whereas in enclosed malls there`s the smell of rancid hot dogs or burnt caramel corn. Instead of hearing birds singing, indoor malls offer canned music, blaring organs and loudmouthed, loitering teenagers.
A roof over Oakbrook Center? No thanks. The author of the letter needs the roof–to cover holes in the head.
