Services for Jacob E. Hammer, 81, a Chicago area Realtor for nearly 50 years, will be held at 10 a.m. Tuesday in the chapel at 1300 W. Devon Ave. Mr. Hammer, of West Rogers Park, died Sunday in Edgewater Hospital. He and his wife, Minnie, operated Hammer Realty Co. until they retired five years ago. Mr. Hammer was a founder and board member of Congregation K.I.N.S. in West Rogers Park. He was a pioneer in the sale of State of Israel Bonds. Other survivors include a daughter, Gloria Delores Solomon; five grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.
