Despite the horrendous problems that beset the Chicago Public Library, may I offer a word of appreciation for the services provided by the librarians? As a frequent user of resources at the main library, at the Cultural Center and at the Edgewater and Hild branches, I have found the professional staff members and auxiliary personnel to be unfailingly courteous, helpful and efficient.
