It is quite fashionable these days to refer to Vietnam as the only war America lost. I thought we Americans understood that we deliberately held back in Vietnam. We could have dropped another Hiroshima bomb. We could have unleashed infinitely more men and war weaponry and crushed North Vietnam. But we chose restraint, much to the anguish of many Americans.
So please, let`s put the record straight.
