In regard to the drowning accident that occurred recently at a Gary swimming pool, it is sad that five young lives had to be lost, but it is sadder to hear everyone blaming the public authorities for the deaths. Whatever happened to the concept that parents were responsible for instilling in their children a sense of respect for others` property–whether it was municipal property or private property?
