If the auto industry in the United States is doing so poorly and if foreign competition is the bane of a strong auto industry, then why does it make sense to collaborate with the enemy to speed up the demise of a once powerful giant? I am speaking of the new Chevy Nova, a joint venture produced by Toyota and Chevrolet. Perhaps a more appropriate title should have been the Toy-let, since that is where the auto industry is headed if this venture is successful.
