The city that works–indeed! Kennedy and Ryan Expressways . . . a funnel of confusion to downtown, north and south. The Crosstown could have solved this.

A domed stadium! Navy Pier! North State Development! The library! The

”L” tracks removed! World`s Fair! All political promises. What do we get?

Food fests!

If it were not for private development, Chicago`s downtown would be a disaster. The inner city is falling apart and industry is departing but taxes go up and up.

And now for entertainment we have a circus in the city council. Washington, Vrdolyak, Daley, Byrne for mayor? How foolish can we be?

Chicago needs an enlightened city government and fast, or our beautiful city will become a second-class adjunct to the suburbs.
