In the Nov. 15 Chicago Tribune was an article concerning the imbalance of military chaplains and legislation proposed by Rep. Robert Borski (D., Pa.), the Military Chaplains Faith Balance Act, whose purpose is to correct this imbalance.
Rep. Borski`s legislation ignores two facts: (1) There are too many different religious sects for balance to be feasible and (2) use of government money to fund clergy of any faith violates the rights of those who oppose those beliefs.
