Taylor Mayer, North Shore Country Day–The 6-foot-4-inch senior forward totaled 57 points, 33 rebounds and 7 blocked shots, pacing his team to a pair of victories.

Brad Niemann, Glenbrook South–The 6-2 junior guard had 50 points in two victories.

Jennifer Brookins, Phillips–The senior forward had 35 points and 47 rebounds in two victories.

Grace Johnson, Kankakee–The 5-11 sophomore forward led her team with 22 points, 17 rebounds and 14 steals in a 71-33 victory over Rich South.

Michele Savage, Immaculate Heart of Mary–The 6-foot sophomore center totaled 60 points and 45 rebounds in three victories.

BOWLING

Karen Karczewski, Thornridge–The freshman bowled the top three-game series in the Niles North Doubles Invitational–a school-record 631. She averaged 184 for nine games on the week.

GYMNASTICS

Missy Greene, Libertyville–The sophomore set school records of 9.25 in the all-around, 9.5 in vaulting, 9.4 in floor exercise and 9.3 for uneven bars in a dual-meet victory.

HOCKEY

Rob Keegan, Stevenson–The freshman registered his second three-goal hat trick this season in a 7-3 victory over Leyden.

SWIMMING

Paul Braswell, Fremd–The senior won the Hinsdale Central Invitational diving meet with a score of 383.25 for 11 dives.

Jeff Dorey, Andrew–The senior set a school record of 53.86 seconds in the 100-yard butterfly in a dual-meet victory.

WRESTLING

John Popp, Oak Lawn–The senior was named outstanding wrestler in the Glenbard West Invitational, winning the 167-pound title to go 20-1 for the season.

Eric Wenckowski, Leyden–The senior heavyweight, boosting his record to 20-1, was named outstanding wrestler in the Leyden Invitational.
