If Ferdinand Marcos and his wife would send $100 million to Nicaragua, and if we could make a peace deal between the contras and the Sandinistas to quit fighting, we could save our money and keep the communists out. This would keep our troops from fighting and losing lives needlessly.

In exchange for the money, Marcos would have a place to go. And if his ego needs help, they could name him president pro tem or chairman or emperor or dictator or whatever.
