Whatever has happened to plain old-fashioned courtesy? Has it escaped into the past along with old-fashioned kitchens, butter churns and Model T`s? This is in reference to the discourteous CTA drivers. Twice within the last week when a driver was asked the destination of the bus, a very discourteous ”Can`t you read the sign?” was the answer.
Quite a few Chicagoans do not know the streets that well, and it would have taken such a small effort on the driver`s part to give a helpful answer. Whatever do new residents of this city do? This puts the whole city to shame.
