Mass for James S. McDonald, 70, of Rolling Meadows, will be said at 11 a.m. Friday in St. Colette Catholic Church, 3900 S. Meadow Dr., Rolling Meadows. Mr. McDonald died Tuesday in Northwest Community Hospital, Arlington Heights. He retired as vice president of Excelsior Steel Furnace Co., Itasca, in 1983. He worked for the company for 48 years. He founded the Air Distribution Institute, an association of manufacturers of pipe, duct and fittings and served as president of that group for several years. He is survived by his wife, Lillian; 4 sons, Mark, James J., David and Philip; 10 grandchildren; and a brother.
