A story in the Chicagoland/Du Page section of some editions of the Sept. 9 Tribune reported incorrectly that the Du Page County superintendent of schools will be paid $44,000 by the state in addition to a proposed $48,000 annual salary. In fact, the superintendent`s proposed base salary will be $48,000, of which $44,000 will be paid by the state and the rest by the county. The Tribune regrets the error.
