Quarterback Jim McMahon threw for the first time in a regular practice Wednesday and pronounced himself all right.
”I won`t be 100 percent, but I`ll be good enough to play,” he said.
McMahon was wearing special Donzis shoulder pads to protect the separated shoulder injury. They are slightly wider than his normal ones.
”Pads won`t stop anything if I land on it the way I landed before,” he said.
The new pads were only part of McMahon`s practice outfit.
He wore a tight-fitting adidas shirt with No. 82 on it and glasses with huge eyeballs painted on them.
”I heard in the meetings we played like high school kids, so I wanted to look like one,” he said.
