Bensenville police and fire officials, assisted by officials from the Environmental Protection Agency, the state police and the Emergency Service Disaster Agency early Wednesday were investigating a package that began smoking and exploded shortly after 9 p.m. Tuesday when it was taken outside of a Flying Tiger warehouse at 680 Supreme Drive in Bensenville. Bensenville Police Chief Michael Toomey said the 2,530-pound package contained epoxy resin that had been sent from Tokyo.
