1986–Missed half the season because of injuries to his right hand and wrist. . . . Injured in seventh game of the season, was placed on the disabled list and did not return until May 14. . . . His season ended in August after he suffered a broken bone in his right hand. . . . Between injuries, Walker played in 78 games and hit 13 homers with 51 RBIs. . . . He hit safely in 50 of 78 games last season. . . . He got his first career grand slam June 23 at Comiskey Park off Minnesota`s Bert Blyleven. . . . The April injury snapped a consecutive game streak at 178, dating back to the 1984 season.
