I heard the tragic recording of fire victim Nancy Clay, trapped at One Illinois Center, calling for help.
I also heard the Fire Department operator try to figure out where the building was. How could anyone know exactly where to send men and equipment to addresses such as Two and Three Illinois, One Financial, One Magnificent, One anything?
When is the city going to insist that addresses be numbers and street names, to help prevent another tragedy?
