The first townhouses in west suburban Countryside are under construction by B&L Construction Inc.
The Countryside Meadows, 6100 S. Kensington Ave., will consist of 47 townhouses ranging from 1,685 to 2,000 square feet and $124,900 to $143,900.
”Our townhomes are a planned unit development, which is a `community within a community,` ” said Louis Sylvester, the developer. ”There is only one road directly across from a park that will give access to the subdivision. This will minimize traffic and give the homeowner a sense of security along with quiet living.”
Four models are available, each featuring two bedrooms and 1 1/2 baths with optional plans for three bedrooms and 2 1/2 baths. The townhouses feature a Victorian facade with front porches, face brick and cedar siding. All the townhouses include full basements and attached two-car garages.
All the units feature central air conditioning, wall-to-wall carpeting, walk-in closets, smoke detectors, oven/range, refrigerator, dishwasher and disposer.
