The newly elected NOW president, Molly Yard, successor to Eleanor Smeal, picks up the cudgel–oops, that should be gavel–and continues Ms. Smeal`s enlightened style of campaigning for the dead-as-a-dodo, fossilized ERA by browbeating Robert Bork as ”a Neanderthal.”

Ms. Yard, a hard-line libber, just isn`t liberated enough to want to reveal her age, bruited about as in the mid-70s, possibly lest it come close to Mr. Reagan`s, who they have asserted is too old for his job, and whom that rabid pack of feminists craves to have impeached if they can`t get him actually drawn and quartered.

Actually the Bork confirmation debate should turn out to be quite interesting: The Neanderthal vs. the Amazons.
