Dynascan Corp., Chicago, said its Marantz Co. subsidiary has sold its Pianocorder division to Nippon Gakki Co. Ltd. Proceeds of the cash sale, for more than $3 million, will be used to pay debt that Dynascan incurred during its purchase of Marantz in February for $14 million. The sale is to enable Marantz, based in Chatsworth, Calif., to concentrate on its audio and video businesses, Dynascan said.
