I am appalled by the action of Gov. Dukakis in firing his campaign chairman, Mr. Sasso, and by the uproar that apparently forced it over Mr. Sasso`s release of a tape showing Sen. Biden plagiarizing others` works. Mr. Sasso did the voters and the country proud by his timely action exposing Mr. Biden.
The resulting treatment of Mr. Sasso is a disgrace. Mr. Dukakis` action demonstrates that he would have preferred to conceal the theft of others`
intellectual property. His actions can only be construed as a willingness to protect the guilty.
