I am angry and disappointed in The Tribune`s use of the headline ”They can always sell insurance” on the piece about unqualified people on the PGA tour (Sports section, Nov. 17).

The truth is that maybe they could-but maybe they couldn`t. I sell insurance for one of the leading companies of any kind in this country, but I did not elect to do so because, as the headline implies, I could do nothing else.

There is, indeed, a stigma associated with America`s insurance industry and the people who represent it, but that stigma is not helped by the clear implication that the industry is populated by failures and has-beens.
