Three hundred and thirty thousand dollars may have been a ”bargain price” to Gov. Thompson as he purchased for the state five former possessions of architect Frank Lloyd Wright (one lamp, one cabinet, three house drawings) to be exhibited in a currently state-owned Wright building in Springfield. The money was raised by the governor through donations from a few individuals and corporations.
Aren`t our priorities a bit off? Just think what $330,000 would do to benefit the blind and the lame and to alleviate the suffering of the chronically ill.
