I am in total agreement with Roger Simon`s article of Jan. 18. He is right on target with his guess that Rev. Jesse Jackson ”really wants to be, expects to be, president.”
However, I feel that too much emphasis is placed on the question: What does Jackson really want? I am still trying to figure out various answers to my own questions: What does Paul Simon really want? What does Bush really want? Who is Dole? Does Hart really expect my vote after his
”performance(s)”?
I would just like to say that, thanks to the media, I am familiar with the Rev. Jackson. I understand what he is trying to accomplish. He is, in my opinion as well as in my vote, the best candidate for the presidential election.
Catch: Not one mention of black or white from a 19-year-old`s point of view.
