The INF Treaty may appear to be a peacekeeping device until one realizes that since the Soviets enjoy superiority over the West in conventional weapons, the destruction of intermediate-range weapons will enhance their position. The weapons we have agreed to destroy may have been the reason for peace during recent years.
As President George Washington said, ”To be prepared for war is one of the most effectual means of preserving peace.” The U.S. senators should be urged to vote against ratification of the INF Treaty.
