Laury Halper, 64, president of Merit Advertising Specialties in Chicago, died Friday in Mercy Hospital and Medical Center. Mr. Halper, of the North Side, was a member of the Advertising Specialties Institute. Survivors include his wife, Jeanne; a daughter, Cheryl Helfer; a son, Mark; three grandchildren; and three sisters. Services will be held at 11 a.m. Monday in the chapel at 5206 N. Broadway.
