All but 13 homes have been sold in the first phase of Kensington Courte, a Gurnee townhouse community where sales have been as hot as the weather.
The first phase consists of 51 homes in 13 buildings, with prices running from $89,000 to $100,500. When completed, Kensington Courte will include 196 townhouses.
Stephen Rice, vice president of Arthur J. Greene Construction, developer of Kensington Courte, said work on the second phase is already underway.
The four floor plans include lofts, which can easily be converted into extra bedrooms.
Standard features are attached garages, vaulted ceilings, air conditioning, dishwashers, private patios and cultured marble vanities with integral bowls.
The Brittany offers two bedrooms, 1 1/2 baths in a very open, circular floor plan. This 1,296-square-foot floor plan is priced from $90,000.
The Auburn, the community`s only one-bedroom design, includes 1 1/2 baths with a loft that can be converted into a second bedroom. The 1,145-square-foot floor plan is priced from $89,000.
The Coventry offers 1,408 square feet in a two-bedroom floor plan priced from $99,500.
The Dover has a first floor master bedroom suite with a second bedroom and loft upstairs. The 1,362-square-foot home is priced from $100,500.
Kensington Courte is at the intersection of O`Plaine and Washington Streets in Gurnee.
