A three-way mayoral primary will likely face Woodstock voters on Feb. 28 as a result of candidacy petitions filed by Monday`s 5 p.m. deadline.
Filing petitions for mayor in addition to one-term incumbent Mayor James Shoemaker were George B. ”Pete” Corson, a sergeant with the McHenry County sheriff`s department, and current City Council member Joan Mansfield.
Mansfield has two years left in her current council term.
