In the Jan. 3 Tribune editorial criticizing Ald. Timothy Evans, you commented that ”his labeling of Eugene Sawyer and Richard Daley as a `tag team` defies imagination.”
Indeed, had Ald. Evans done so, it would have defied imagination; but he never uttered such words.
In fact, it was Richard Daley himself who made that comment in referring to Mayor Eugene Sawyer and Ald. Timothy Evans.
The Tribune`s hostility to Ald. Evans is unfortunate, but it is your editorial prerogative; one would hope, however, that you would at least be factual in your critiques.
