UAL Corp. Chairman Stephen M. Wolf said the Chicago-based company isn`t interested in buying the airline operations of Pan Am Corp. Wolf, in Detroit to deliver a speech to the Economic Club of Detroit, said, ”We have no plans to do anything with Pan Am.” Speculation that UAL is interested in Pan Am stems from UAL`s declared intentions to expand into the European market. ”We still plan to fly to Europe at some time in the not too distant future,” Wolf said. UAL purchased Pan Am`s Pacific facilities in 1986.
