It appears that President Bush has taken a less than bold stance against the manufacture of chlorofluorocarbons, the chemical which is destroying the ozone layer in the atmosphere which helps to protect us from skin cancer. He has stated that he would like to see these chemicals banned by the turn of the century only if ”adequate substitutes can be found.”
This is not the strong environmental president that we were promised during the election campaign.
We must take a firm stance against the manufacture of this chemical.
