The Suburban O`Hare Commission, an association of 12 suburbs surrounding O`Hare International Airport, is offering the Village of Addison a 50 percent discount on dues if it will rejoin the organization.
The commission is funded by contributions of $1 per year per capita of population from its member governments.
Kathy Lane, executive director of the commission, said the organization made the offer last week.
Adding Addison to the commission`s ranks ”won`t add a legislative vote but it will add more of a constituency,” Lane said. Addison dropped out because it didn`t see itself as being as severely affected by O`Hare issues as other towns.
