I keep wondering why I never see anything in your paper about Gary Dotson and the governor`s unconscionable failure to act on the information he has that proves Dotson`s innocence. Is it that you refuse to print anything that reflects on Thompson`s character?
Gary is still in a rehabilitation center for alcoholism and is actually doing well. He will probably be free before long. But he will not be cleared of the rape charge in which he was sentenced to a term of 25 to 50 years, even though it has been proved that he is innocent of that charge.
On Gov. Thompson`s desk is the evidence that absolutely clears him. He has had that evidence since last October but has not gotten around to doing anything about it. Why? In the meantime, nothing is printed about Dotson. He is dismissed as no longer newsworthy. Why?
