– Westmont 5, Aurora Central Catholic 4-Jason Gordon allowed two hits and recorded the win as Julius Gapus picked up the save. Jerry Stackowicz, Brock Harion (each 2 for 3) and John Todd (2 for 4) led the way as Westmont upset No. 10 Aurora Central.
– Curie 7, Kennedy 4-Mike DiJulio (2 for 5, two RBIs), Jeff Grimm (3 for 5), Ray Gonzales (2 for 3) and Gary Wachowiak (2 for 4) led Curie (19-2, 11-1) in the Chicago Public League Red Central.

West Aurora 12, De Kalb 1-Kelley Siler (22-4, seven strikeouts, one walk) hurled a two-hitter, went 2 for 3 and drove in a run as host West Aurora romped in a five-inning Upstate Eight match. Beckey Thatcher (1 for 3) drove in three runs and Monica Cannon (3 for 3) added two for the victors.
– Rich Central 7, Bremen 0-Cindy Nelson threw a three-hitter and struck out 14 for Rich Central (9-12).
