Hints for the `90s
– For the business traveler: Pack a hand-held portable cellular phone to handle emergencies and to avoid lines at airport phones.
– If you have a video camera, use it to take a visual inventory of your house, car or your boat inside and out and all possessions for your insurance purposes. It helps with claim adjustments.
– For the video library: When you`re taping a TV movie, use the film synopsis from your TV book to label them. Just cut it out and tape it onto the box;
this gives you who is starring and how long the film is.
Hints you can`t live without
– To get ballpoint pen ink out of a washable shirt, use aerosol hairspray on a paper towel or cloth to dab at the stain. Put paper towels under the material as you dab.
– When you lose a contact lens, a diamond or the back of an earring or anything that is small and hard to see, use a vacuum cleaner-but first place a piece of panty hose, nylon net or cheesecloth over the opening.
– For mildew that forms in the grout between bathroom tiles, use a solution of half bleach and half water to clean. To keep mildew away, after cleaning and drying the tile thoroughly, apply typewriter correction fluid (nonwater-based) between the tiles.
