Getting your Trinity Audio player ready...

I read your article about the Chicago Academy for the Arts (”Class Acts,” by Connie Lauerman, March 12), and I thought it was wonderful and insightful.

I attended the school for about six weeks many years ago, but I had to drop out and attend a public school because of financial reasons. You described the school perfectly, including the ”family atmosphere.” I attended as a sophomore in the class of 1981 and learned very much about the performing arts. Every day of my life I regret not staying with the Academy, but I`m doing pretty well now with my own performance troupe.

Thank you again for the wonderful view of my favorite school.
