”Against All Odds,” by Donald Haider (March 12), was a fascinating journey through the 1987 mayoral election by the Republican nominee. Unfortunately for Don Haider, the terms ”credibility” and ”Chicago politics” are dichotomous.
Although I did not obtain the hallmark red ”Don Haider for Mayor”
jacket, I do have a ”Haider for Mayor” button on my bulletin board. Often, I look at it, smile and think of what might have been.
