I applaud Joan Beck`s column defending Barbara Bush against high-fashion expert snipers.
However, I resent her remark that snide stings aimed at Bush are reminders of a high school cheerleader mentality. I was a cheerleader in high school and college; that remark is just as unfair and unfounded as the mean-spirited attacks on Bush.
