Thank you for Joan Beck`s column calling for renewed emphasis on adoption. Despite the grim statistics on the present situation of adoption, Beck reminds us that ”selfless act of love” is also one of wisdom, especially in consideration of the multitude of child-seeking parents, the emotional trauma and physical difficulties involved in abortion and the negative long-term side-effects of single parenting.
